Benway Bunnies

To save space I've used abbreviations in some of the columns. To help you decipher my code, there's a Character Index Key at the bottom of this page (the link will take you straight down). Red text is for active links; when you click on them, small popups will appear with further information relevant to that particular character. Clicking on the 'name' link gives a list of the stories s/he is in, and by opening the X link under 'related' you'll find some details about any relatives they have - or at least the ones who're also major characters. Almost all of the people listed have family members, as you'd expect, but only some of them have ones who'll be making frequent appearances.

Self-explanatory. Yes, most characters also have last names.

Affiliated:

Another way to distinguish characters is by their affiliations, which are determined by employment, living arrangements and other similar situations. Usually being considered 'associated' with a group requires a character to be closely linked with two or more members. Of course, it's inevitable that certain characters cross over into other groups; the first affiliation listed is which group they belong to, the second is any they could be considered an 'honorary member' of.

The newest (and probably most confusing) feature. My characters fall into two classifications: they're either part of a family network, or they aren't. The 'network' is comprised of three branches: French, Italian, and Spanish - all of which originally descended from a single family.

Over time generations of the large family migrated to and established themselves in different parts of Europe and America - thus causing the three-way schism. For all intents and purposes these characters are related to one another, but some are removed by several (or more) generations. Due to inbreeding incidents (a sexy relative is still SEXY!) some characters belong to two branches, but I've listed these under their mother's family line.

Occupation:

Another self-explanatory section. Not all of the characters with N/A are unemployed - I just don't consider 'student' and 'nymphomaniac playgirl' occupations. I suppose I could change this column to 'concept', but it'd make them seem too much like character templates for a role-playing game (attention RPers: see the copyright notice below).

Species:

I feel the need to mention that there's a difference between my characters which may have mythological elements and those of certain authors whose only interest in such things extends to trying to make them ironic and clever. I would never use a concept that I didn't think I had altered enough to make uniquely mine, and try to keep it so that any additions compliment the character - not because I'm some pretentious English major (it would've been too easy if I said 'creative writing major'.)

Human: Self-explanatory!

Human w/supernatural abilities: Characters who are human but have one or more of a wide range of supernatural characteristics. Some manifestations include improved physical aptitude (Syeira), telepathy (Abigail), demonic contact (Ottavia) and the ability to make dead bodies come alive and have sex with people (Kathleen).

Supernatural: Characters who appear human, but for one reason or another can't be put in that class. This includes different species (Merttetiiyet), demonic entities (Vienna), and artificial entities (Ostia).
